Your Upline Might Be Costing you More Than They Are Making You!

Do you have an open mind?

Or did it close the second you got into MLM because your upline told you to not look at anything else?

Chances are your upline, leaders, and top income earners had the best intentions when they told you that you should have laser focus and to not look at other things. Truth is most people have a hard enough time focusing as it is, let alone being able to take on more than one thing that would require their time and attention.

So I am in no way disagreeing with your trusted leaders or their advice, but the reality is that if you intend to be an entrepreneur you need to understand that having several sources of income allows for you to achieve your dreams and aspiration faster. Allowing for more things to bring in money and cash-flow and to be coming from all over the place ensures that if one were to go away you would not lose as much as if you only had your income coming from one source.

Being strategic about business makes you a better entrepreneur. Imagine if you were one of those people who put their faith in a company that went under or if despite your best efforts…you just plain suck at MLM. If you spend years working something and for whatever reason it doesn’t end up working for you, what do you do then? Try another company and start over? Spend another few years working at building a downline?

Or what if the FTC enacts something like the Business Opportunity Rule (which they just did) which stifles you business building and makes things more difficult for you?

Or you are in a Health and Wellness MLM and the FDA tries to Re-qualify the ingredients that are in the products that you promote…making it, again, more difficult for you to work your business or put it out of business altogether?

What if, along the way you were building up other incomes that paid you and that created an additional hedge against inflation, job-loss, increasing prices on goods and services, and allowed you the time (and money) to focus on your MLM (if you so chose to)?

Normally I Hate Company Reviews, because they are written by someone who has no passion for talking about the business, since they are usually not in it. Instead they write a review just so they can target the companies name as a keyword and bait and switch with the “If you want to have success in this company you need my help and my marketing system…blah…blah..blah”. So i decided to do it differently by asking people from different companies about them, there business, and the company they are in so my readers can learn about their company and their business from someone who is building it successfully. Who are You and what is your story and what made your turn to Network Marketing? What Drew you to this Industry?

I began my foray into the world of network marketing in Houston, TX, in 1997, as I began to see bills piling up all around me as a result of college and life expenses.

I learned quickly that the reality for most people was that they would make their professional start in the world, post-college, deep into debt which could potentially take many years to pay off. I was not pleased with this state of affairs, so I began the pursuit of opportunities to earn ancillary income.

Getting into network marketing was sort of a serendipitous freak accident for me. I was barely 20 years old and pretty desperate to find a good way to make some money and I’d started calling classified ads that were in the local newspapers. One sounded particularly riveting, especially when I listened to the “sizzle message” but I had a heck of a time getting any details from anyone about it. I left a voicemail message asking for more information and when I got my callback, the guy on the other end of the line was downright esoteric with me.

Being naive and terribly green behind the ears, I earnestly scribbled down everything he said and agreed to drive out to the Adam’s Mark Hotel on a Saturday to meet this mystery man who told me that they were going to show me the keys to my financial kingdom. So, like the true believer I was, I got myself all dressed up, reference letters in hand, and drove to the hotel, completely delusional and under the misapprehension that I was going to be interviewed for a phenomenal “JOB” of some kind. Hah…

I entered the ballroom where I was instructed to go and to my shock, there were hundreds of people there. To the outside observer, I’m sure that with all the carrying on going on in there, it may have appeared to be some kind of a church revival. It was seriously LIVE in there.

Well, about 2 1/2 or so hours later, I left that place high off the electricity and hype of the mass of folks who were “cattle called” into the same meeting. I had to make a couple of trips out to my little hatchback because I had been front-loaded, the only credit card I had to my name MAXED OUT to the tune of about $2200!

Yep, that’s right, TWO-THOUSAND TWO-HUNDRED DOLLARS!

I thought I had just caught a tiger by the tail…No one could’ve told me that I wasn’t going to be successful.(Well, some tried, but fortunately for me I don’t scare easily. I tunneled my vision and tuned out the “advice” of the nay-sayers.) So right then and there I planted my little flag into the ground and declared that I was going to make it. I HAD TO make it…

Boy, what an initiation!

After much ado, sweat, and literally beating the streets, I found some success. The only problem was that no one in their right mind was going to go do what I just did to make some sales. No way Jose! So I got really good at making money in this way for myself, but surely I couldn’t build a downline ARMY of distributors who would be willing to pound the proverbial pavement. It just wasn’t going to happen…

Necessity drove me to learn some new tricks. I started learning everything from 1-on-1 meetings at Starbucks, hosting hotel meetings, cold calls, 3-foot marketing, direct mailers, to campy stuff like chasing my friends & family, house parties & “tastings”…you name it, I have done it. I’ve had my share of successes and grand failures, all of which provided invaluable lessons which are in every way applicable to my business pursuits today.

Since those very humble beginnings I’ve enjoyed successes in network marketing as well as in more traditional business. For the past several years I’ve been a managing partner of a high finance consulting firm; my specialties are in precious metals & stones, oil derivatives & financial engineering. I probably don’t have to tell most of you what it was like when the ____ hit the fan, but suffice it to say that it was not pretty and it did cause a significant wane in my “professional” income. What relief it was to have something to lean on when things started to change due to the economic turmoil and fickle financial markets!

The support of longtime networkers who I’ve had the joy of building real relationships with has been no small part of my success recipe. The “TLC” that has been given to me has been the backbone of what I’ve built my businesses around. I’ve learned that the best way to be a success in network marketing is to have an opportunity to emulate proven steps to success by adopting a working system and implementing it with the help of a mentor.

Chick-Fil-A is Free Speech At Its Finest…Even If You Disagree

I kind of don’t get the whole Chick-Fil-A issue.

It should be proof that freedom of speech is alive and well…at least somewhere it is. The point of freedom of speech is to protect unpopular speech, not to infringe upon that right because some people disagree with it.

I think the people who are pissed about the owner saying he disagreed with gay marriage miss the point within….the freedom of speech allows for him to say that…cause it is his opinion…the same right to free speech also allows for Gay Pride Day, For Anderson Cooper or Neil Patrick Harris to come out of the closet without the fear of backlash because of their sexual preference.

If you disagree with Chick-Fil-A and their stance you can not go there…you can vote your opinion with your dollars…you can tell your friends not to go there if they agree with you…you can post it on your Facebook Page…you can create a group against Chick-Fil-A…you can use YOUR freedom of speech to say what you want to say.

This is also a lesson in property rights….Chick-Fil-A has the right to do what the want because it is their business and the property that they practice it on. Short of harm, physical that is, they are within their rights to do what they have done. Under the property rights that exist or rather that use to exist they could go so far as to not serve gay people or not employ gay people…but then they would get sued for discrimination.

It is the same rules that existed prior to the Civil Right Act that made it legal to discriminate against black people….except there really is no such law against gay people.
Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t agree with discrimination…neither for the prior Black People..nor against gay people…in fact I completely disagree with Chick-Fil-A…however creating rules against a business deciding what they can and can’t do creates unintended consequences (Kind of like Welfare and Corporate Bailouts…sounded good at first…but what happened after the fact is not what the original intent was supposed to be).

Without the rules..or laws against it…business could discriminate if they saw fit…if they really wanted to be like that…

…and what would be the result?

If you disagreed with it…wouldn’t you not go there anymore?

Would you tell everyone you knew not to go there?

If enough people got word, and agreed, how long would it take for that business to go out of business?

How long, if it were a chain fast-food place, would it domino right up the line till the people in charge were at risk of losing their business?

You see under what use to be, at least intended within, a capitalistic society was the rights of use of property within what ever the owner saw fit. It also meant that risk was taken on the shoulders of that owner for what they did, what they said, and what could make them or cost them money or increase their profits or eliminate their profits.

If the market saw fit, in free market capitalism, a place like Chick-Fil-A could be run out of business if the consumer decided that the owner’s beliefs expressed by not serving gay people or hiring gay people (if that was what they did) equaled not going there and not giving the business their money for a meal. Places like Denny’s, who back in the day decided they would not serve black people, could also be run out of business if people stop going there because they discriminated against black people.

The free capitalist market is so much smarter and more efficient than anti-capitalist and activist give it credit for, because unlike how it is now with rules, laws, and government intervention….the market is of the people and by the people….it is the WILL of the people that moves the market and tells the market what to do.

So…if you disagree with Chick-Fil-A, be a capitalist…don’t give them you money and don’t go there.
If you do agree with Chick-Fil-A, be a capitalist…give them your money and go eat there.

Ask Not,But Simply Give

In Order To Truly Receive

This is story that was given to me by a friend and business partner. It is a true testament to what my business and my ideals of a businessman are. To give to those who need, and see them receive so much more because of it. I teach so that others can learn to do what I have been taught to do. My mentors give to me, and then I give to my students, friends, and business associates what has been bestowed upon me.

So here is the story:

Good morning said a woman as she walked up to the man sitting on ground.
The man slowly looked up.

This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her
coat was new. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life.

His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many
others had done before. “Leave me alone,” he growled…..

To his amazement, the woman continued standing.

She was smiling — her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows..
“Are you hungry?” she asked.

“No,” he answered sarcastically. “I’ve just come from dining with the
president. Now go away.”
The woman’s smile became even broader.

Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm.

“What are you doing, lady?” the man asked angrily. “I said to leave me
alone.

Just then a policeman came up. “Is there any problem, ma’am?” he asked..

“No problem here, officer,” the woman answered. “I’m just trying to get
this man to his feet. Will you help me?”

The officer scratched his head. “That’s old Jack. He’s been a fixture
around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?”

“See that cafeteria over there?” she asked. “I’m going to get him
something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile.”

“Are you crazy, lady?” the homeless man resisted. “I don’t want to go in
there!” Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up.
“Let me go, officer. I didn’t do anything.”

“This is a good deal for you, Jack,” the officer answered. “Don’t blow
it.”

Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got
Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It
was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had
already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived…

The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table. “What’s
going on here, officer?” he asked. “What is all this, is this man in
trouble?”

“This lady brought this man in here to be fed,” the policeman answered.

“Not in here!” the manager replied angrily. “Having a person like that
here is bad for business.”

Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. “See, lady. I told you so. Now if
you’ll let me go. I didn’t want to come here in the first place.”

The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled. “Sir, are you
familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?”

“Of course I am,” the manager answered impatiently. “They hold their
weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms.”

“And do you make a goodly amount of money providing food at these weekly
meetings?”

“What business is that of yours?”

I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company.”

“Oh.”

The woman smiled again. “I thought that might make a difference.” She
glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. “Would you like to
join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?”

“No thanks, ma’am,” the officer replied. “I’m on duty..”

“Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?”

“Yes, ma’am. That would be very nice..”

The cafeteria manager turned on his heel, “I’ll get your coffee for you
right away, officer.”

The officer watched him walk away. “You certainly put him in his place,”
he said.

“That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all
this.”

She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She
stared at him intently. “Jack, do you remember me?”

Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes. “I think so — I
mean you do look familiar.”

“I’m a little older perhaps,” she said. “Maybe I’ve even filled out more
than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that
very door, cold and hungry.”

“Ma’am?” the officer said questioningly. He couldn’t believe that such
a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.

“I was just out of college,” the woman began. “I had come to the city
looking for a job, but I couldn’t find anything. Finally I was down to
my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment. I walked the
streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I
saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get
something to eat.”

Jack lit up with a smile. “Now I remember,” he said. “I was behind the
serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for
something to eat. I said that it was against company policy.”

“I know,” the woman continued. “Then you made me the biggest roast beef
sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to
go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get
into trouble… Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my
food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all
right.”

“So you started your own business?” Old Jack said.

“I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I
started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered.” She
opened her purse and pulled out a business card. “When you are finished
here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons…He’s the personnel
director of my company. I’ll go talk to him now and I’m certain he’ll
find something for you to do around the office.” She smiled. “I think
he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you
can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your
feet.. If you ever need anything, my door is always opened to you.”

There were tears in the old man’s eyes. “How can I ever thank you?” he
said.

“Don’t thank me,” the woman answered. “To God goes the glory.. Thank
Jesus… He led me to you.”

Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance
before going their separate ways…

“Thank you for all your help, officer,” she said.

“On the contrary, Ms. Eddy,” he answered. “Thank you. I saw a miracle
today, something that I will never forget. And..And thank you for the
coffee.”

The Lesson I Taught My Ex-Sponsor 

Today I would like to tell you all a little story about someone I talked to over the weekend.
This weekend I reconnected with my sponsor, Mark from the first MLM I was ever in. I won’t tell you the name of it, but I will say it was in the communications industry.

The company was comprised of 2 businesses that had combined to sort of become one. One side of it was the bigger servicing end of it and the other was the business opportunity end that did the sales. Our conversation lasted at least 2 hours, and in that time something was driven home that I already knew, but it was reaffirmed by my talk with Mark.

You see prior to my being sponsored by Mark, he had spent 7 years building his business and when we met he had an impressive downline and he was making over a million a year. His income was completely derived from his MLM business, he no longer had to work at a job and he was free to do whatever he wanted to do. He lived the life most only dreamed of.

At the time I was new to the industry and I was quiet and shy and had a hard time with sponsoring. I gave up on it after a year of trying to get my friends and family to join, as well as combing the colleges for people and all sort of other sponsoring activities. I was a sad sack to say the least and I had no posture whatsoever.

Not more than a few years after leaving it, I heard that the bigger sister company went bankrupt and in the process dragged down the other “business opportunity” end of it. In an instant all the reps that had spent years building their businesses, had nothing left to show for it.

When I talked to Mark this was reaffirmed. He told me about how he and the reps at his level had lost everything. They no longer had income coming in. Their lifestyles went from being millionaires to having to sell their big houses and cars to pay the bills. And because they had grown dependant on their life under and because of the “business” they had to start all over from zero, because most of their downlines that they had no longer trusted them because they now thought it was a scam.

(Just so you know, it wasn’t. It was very big and what they did completely paved the way for the “Newer” MLM communication businesses. Matter a factly, the heads of it are now in 3 of the top Telecom MLM businesses that exist in our business.)

Mark told me about the pain of going back to a job after so many years of not having one. I felt bad for him, how could I not. He assured me that it is so much worse to have to go back to work after getting to that level, than anyone who hasn’t gotten to “retire their job.”

So what is my point in telling this story?

What is the moral of this story?

It is this.

Whatever MLM or Network Marketing business you are in, you must realize that it is only 1 vehicle. Thinking that it is the begin all and end all is, quite frankly, delusional. No matter what vehicle someone chooses; be it real estate, stocks, an MLM business, currency trading, or whatever else….holding all you eggs in one basket will only assure that if something happens to that basket, you will lose everything. It is like having your only retirement plan be your 401K. If something goes wrong, you are a 70 year old greeter at Wal-Mart. Your “opportunity” is only one of many, and it is in NOT the best. What you do with it makes the difference and how you do it and how open you are to getting it done will determine your success and your income.

In the world of online marketing the phrase “The money/power is in the list” holds true for your “opportunity” as well. Building a list means never saying you’re sorry, if this business or that business isn’t for them or doesn’t fit in finances or one day goes under. Building a list and teaching them to market and how to succeed in whatever “opportunity” as quickly as possible, means that that there will be a whole lot less animosity if 1 vehicle doesn’t pan out, because there are plenty more out there. Not to mention, if you do as I do, you will be able to teach them to harness affiliate commissions (Some are 100% Commissions) to fund their business as well as their desired “lifestyle”. Imagine having your affiliate commissions equal or dwarf your company’s comp plan. Instead of having one company, your MLM, paying you; you have 20 or 30 streams of income coming in aside from your MLM.

Incidentally, Mark was very excited about this idea. He is going through all of my marketing stuff right now. Imagine that, I just sponsored my sponsor from years ago. I guess I finally gained posture. I can teach you to have that much posture as well. See what Mark is now so excited about.

Why Your MLM Is Stalled And You Have Zero Production?

Is it because you’re lazy? No.

Is it because you’re trying to do too much? Maybe.

Is it because you haven’t created a way to be productive? Probabl y.

Let’s be honest, it’s not that you’re being unproductive or that you aren’t making progress. It’s that you feel unproductive when you look back at what you accomplished that day. It is never enough. Your to do, just didn’t seem to get done. You did some of everything but not enough to get through everything. You feel scattered and unfulfilled by your day. Instead of seeing what you did do, all you see is what you didn’t do.

Actually, you probably are being more productive than you think. You’re just killing your work buzz by being a scatterbrained and then you’re putting yourself down for it at the end of the day.

So do something about it!

It is more simple than you may realize and all it takes it a little planning and a lot more discipline. You actually have to plan out your productive day, set a schedule for each task with an end time, and put it together before you even start working.

“He/she who fails to plan, plans to fail.”

Let’s start creating your productive day with examples of 3 common tasks that most marketers are doing.

Task 1 – Facebook

This is the biggest time sucker of all. It’s so easy to get caught up with reading statuses and replying to comments. Before you know it you’ve spent the whole day on Facebook.

Your real objective is to spend a little time on FB messaging and connecting. How long does this usually take you? Do you do it all at once or intermittently throughout the day? If you don’t know, chances are you spending to much aimless time on this task. Set a time limit, let’s say an hour. When that hour is up, you STOP!

Not one more message, not one more friend request, not one more update on your page…You are done…so STOP!

The most productive marketers I know limit their time on FB to no more than 1 hour per day.

Move to the next task.

Task 2 – Blogging 101

If you think Facebook sucks time just try getting your share buttons on your blog to line up perfect, or get your feed to redirect. You’ve got to set aside a specific time for working on your blog or you’ll be stuck on it for hours. A blog doesn’t have to be perfect for it to function.

Most people would just take however long it takes to get a blog post done; find pics to add to it, do the SEO stuff, post it, and publish it. No, you need to determine a time limit on this task.

If that seems unreasonable you either need to do it when it doesn’t effect the money making hours of your day. Or you need to divide up the time you spend on it by writing the content the night before and then formatting and syndicating it in the morning. (I bring this up because a lot of people spend a long time in the middle of the day posting to their blog, when more productive things could be done,,, like talking on the phone, following up with prospects and recruiting)

Task 3 – Recruiting 

Do you keep your options open when it comes to making income?

We get paid for 1 thing in this business and that is product sales. And the largest part of product sales comes from recruiting new sales reps. The largest task you will have, and rightly so, is recruiting. Set aside more time to recruit than anything else, at least 2 hours. It only makes sense to spend the most time on the task that makes the most money.

If you have 4 hours a day to work on your business and to complete everything on your task list, you need to plan it out. If you are spending 2 hours to recruit, then you only have 2 hours to do the other tasks. So don’t plan out 50 things to do and expect them to get done. Decide what your truly important tasks are, prioritize them according to which ones are the money making tasks, and drop the rest from your dedicated productive time.

I know you’re saying “but you don’t understand, I need to have my blog perfect so my prospects will sign up into my primary MLM on autopilot”.

Here’s the bad news. They’re not going to sign up on autopilot until you have the recruiting results to prove it and you’re not going to have the time to set your blog up right until you’ve made the income from recruiting to quit your job.

So plan your day with your recruiting time as the most important task.

If you work your business on the weekdays and take the weekends off, then take the tasks that are not the immediate money making tasks, and put them on the weekend. A lot people write their blog post on the weekend, when time in not a factor, and schedule them to post throughout the week.

In the end do what works best for you, with the time you have. Before you go to bed, plan out your tomorrow or get up earlier and plan it out then. Know what you want to do and how long you give yourself to do each task so that you can finish everything you have planned, because you know the time you have to do it and the time limits you have set for them.

I know out of those of you that aren’t planning out your day that 99% of you are saying you don’t need to. Let me ask you…is your business growing as fast as you’d like it to?

It’s time to do something different; it’s time to structure your day.

China Becomes #2 and They Want Gold And Silver

China just became the 2nd largest Economy in the world.

(Something Robert Kiyosaki predicted would happen a few years ago)
According to the New York Times:

“After three decades of spectacular growth, China passed Japan in the second quarter to become the world’s second-largest economy behind the United States.

(Imagine the 4-X Currency Exchange difference after that little piece of information came out!)

As an estimate of growth there are predictions that China could surpass the United States to become #1 by 2030.China has begun to reshape the way the global economy functions by virtue of its growing dominance of trade, its huge hoard of foreign exchange reserves and United States government debt and its voracious appetite for oil, coal, iron ore and other natural resources.”

Along with China’s significant exports, is their huge reserve of precious metals like gold and silver. China has devoted an enormous amount of resources building up its domestic gold mining industry, soaring to #1 in the world this decade, and it recently stunned the world with the announcement of a huge increase in its official, national holdings, China now has 5th largest gold reserves.
It turns out that there is also “advertising” for gold and silver in China, too. The big difference here is that it is China’s government which is advertising the “opportunities” in gold and silver and it is urging the Chinese people to buy gold and silver.

It is only in the last three years that the Chinese government significantly relaxed the rules for precious metals buying for its citizens.

Given that the Chinese people (like most of Asia) already had a greater appetite for gold and silver than people in most Western nations, the explicit urging by the government itself for people to load up on bullion clearly implies the expectation of a  strong future for precious metals. With a population greater than 20% of the world’s total and an abundance of savings, this could easily become a self-fulfilling prophecy – especially given the tiny size of the precious metals market, relative to many other commodities.

The second goal which the Chinese government appears to be moving toward is having its own currency, the renminbi, replace the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency.

There have simply been too many actions on this front to list them all, however some of the more significant initiatives are bilateral trade agreements (which exclude the use of the U.S. dollar), currency swaps with its trading partner (which substitute the renminbi in bilateral trade), and authorizing its principal, coastal exporting cities to begin conducting most or all of their trade using renminbi.

These initiatives are entirely separate from the buying-spree the Chinese government has been engaging in, dumping U.S. dollars for a vast assortment of “hard assets” – primarily commodities and commodity-producers.

What does that really mean?

They don’t want our paper-money, because it is trash, but they will happily take a commodity like gold and silver.

Which means that the demand for gold and silver goes up.

Which means the price for it goes up and those that have it will stand to profit.

Which means having gold and silver, with the 2nd biggest economic power trying to get their hands on as much of it as they can, might just be the greatest surge the world economy may see in the years to come.

So what in the world (literally) could you possibly be waiting for?

You may notice the drive to buy bullion, which has a lesser value than graded silver and/or gold coins, which means that the smart buy is the higher valued gold and silver graded coins. Not to discount the bullion value, but its value is based just on what gold or silver is on the exhange, while the gold and silver graded numismatic coins are based on the price of gold and silver PLUS being a perfect museum quality grade.

(Split the difference and get both bullion and the graded coins.)

How to Write Articles for Your Network Marketing Business

I wanted to tackle today how to write articles for your Network Marketing Business. When you are first starting out or even when you have been at it for a while, there comes a time when you may think to yourself “What am I supposed to write about?” Either because you are just stuck or you need a good starting point to jump off of.

When most people write articles for their Network Marketing Business they generally will be writing how-to’s, motivational/inspirational, tutorials, strategies, tips, techniques, marketing sources, and things of this nature. Articles that pertain to MLM or Network Marketing or your home based business along with the marketing and closing aspects. This is a very broad set and general base to start from, hence the difficulty that many have in selecting something more specific to write about.

I will give you a few ways to help you figure how to write articles for your Network Marketing Business which will give you a few ideas and sources that may break the writers block you may have. Obviously this will not be an all encompassing article because to even come close would require more than you could possibly want to read all at once and would do more to overwhelm you than to help you.

How to Write Articles for Your Network Marketing Business: The Book Report Method

The first way to write articles for your Network Marketing Business is to borrow from other people’s articles. I didn’t say steal or plagiarize, I said borrow. Do you remember way back when you were in school and your teacher asked you to read a book and do a book report? When you did it you weren’t writing word for word what the author wrote, you were summarizing and putting into your own words what the book was about. Well for our purposes we are doing the same thing. We are not going to an article written by someone else and doing the copy and paste thing. We are going to a site like Ezine Articles or any other article source (if you don’t know of other ones, just Google “Article Sites” and you should find even more), search for your niche (MLM or Network Marketing or Home Based Business) and find a few articles. I recommend reading 3 articles for every “subject” you intend to write about and either using it as inspiration for your own article or doing a “book report” on the subject of those 3+ articles. You can also go to your favorite Blogger’s site and draw even more inspiration for the subject you are writing about.

At this point you may ask “Isn’t that still stealing?”

No, it is not.

If you have done as I advised and read 3 or more articles on that subject, then you will come to realize that what they wrote about is far from unique as far as that subject goes. Very little of what people do or write about is new or unheard of or really that secretive. The truth is it is only new for about a day, if that, and then lots of people will figure it out. Maybe not a mass of people, but enough to start using it and testing the results. However, someone who doesn’t know about it and who happens to stumble upon it after reading your article or blog post about it, will automatically attribute the discovery of it, to you.

So again, using the “book report method” to write articles for your Network Marketing business, we are not stealing or copy-and-pasting, we are reading 3 or more articles summarizing the method or idea of that subject, and writing one article or Blog post.

How To Write Articles For Your Network Marketing Business: MLSP

And it has more than enough videos, training calls, tutorials, and sources so you never will have to worry about how to write articles for your network marketing business, ever, ever, ever again. You get taught how to do something then immediately turn around write an article or blog post about it and teach it to someone else via your content. It’s hard to lose there and again, the people who read it will attribute learning it, from you. Something that I think people miss when they are getting ready to share something via content, like article writing or doing a blog post, is that you actually learn more by teaching it to others. It reminds me of an episode of Growing Pains I saw once where Mike Seaver was going to cheat on a test by writing all the answers on his tennis shoes. In the process of writing all the answers on his shoes he unconsciously remembered all the information and by the time he was done he actually knew all about the subject he was to be tested on. The next day he blew through the test, without ever having to look at his shoes, and consequently got 100%. His teacher sees his shoes and thinks he cheated, but by the end of the episode he retakes the test and get the same score again (no need for me to go through the whole episode, I am sure you get the point).

When you need to write articles for your network marketing business you just have to be creative and find inspiration for writing them from everywhere. Every business related activity, every interaction you have while building your business, every training call, every webinar, ever book you read; there lies an idea for a great article for you to write.

You Need More Professionals In Your Network Marketing Business

You need more Professionals, Not so many Buzzy Boxer's

Let me start off by telling you a story. A story that has nothing to do with MLM.

Years ago when I was in Mortgage I took a trip out of town. When I was to return, I needed someone to pick me up from the airport. I asked my friends if any of them could do me the favor of picking me up at the airport. From them I got responses like:

 

“ I don’t know, maybe.”
“It depends on when it is, I might be too busy.”
And the worse one yet
“I will need money for gas and for parking. I can’t just drive out there for nothing.”

It was obvious that I couldn’t really rely on them to help me out.

So I turned to my people I knew at my mortgage company, you know the professionals. Three people, who were all salesman and had busy schedules, said they would be happy to come get me. I chose Paul, but the other two told me if he ended not being able to do it that they would “drop whatever I am doing and come get you.” Paul was at the airport 20 minutes early, never asked me for money for gas or for parking, and ended up taking me out to dinner (since I hadn’t eaten for the later half of the day) and he paid for it, then he took me home.

Why do I bring up this story?

I bring it up because professionals have more integrity in life and in business than most of your friends do. You know, those friends you are scared to talk to about your business.

Professionals are the kind of people who if you told them about your business, would actually be straight with you and not beat around the bush or waste your time.

They will give you a definitive “Yes” or “No”, and if they do happen to say “No” they WILL give you referrals to their business/professional friends that they have.

Even if they have no interest in what you are doing, they know that as professionals that giving you these referrals gives them the opportunity to possibly get so business from you in return.

If you are talking to a lawyer and he gives you a referral, he know that if anyone ever needs his services that you may know, that you will refer them to him. It is a common professional courtesy.

Imagine the bigger picture for those professionals who say “yes”. As professionals they have large Rolodexs  of contacts they know who they will in turn go to with this “additional income stream”.

If they see what you have as being beneficial to their business contacts, they will have no qualms about talking to these highly influential contacts about it. This means that your down-line will grow like fire. You don’t have to teach them how to “connect” with people, they already know how.

You don’t have to put them through extensive training, you show them a few videos that will give them the right perspective, give them access to any training that may help them in the business and the products you have, and they will run with it.

What would your team look like with a few professionals frontline?

How quickly would your income, as well as theirs, grow to the point where you can leave your job for good or where you can start working with your non-professional (if you have any) down-line more closely so they can build faster?

Now granted, you have to have a business and product that will appeal to professionals, but if you have something that they can see the value in, that has a lasting value (maintains or increases in value), and that pays out really well; you can bet that your success rate will be pretty high. (Here is what I recommend that professionals love with an approach they find hard to resist).

Regardless, if you can get more professionals in your business, along with your normal recruits and down-line, you can build a much stronger and much bigger business than without them.
